Hi Folks,
Well, I'm a bit more perky than the last
bulletin!
Four weeks of no smoking following my episode and I feel great!
I should have given up years ago...I can afford presents for the
family this Christmas now!
Ok, NEWS!
I was told to back off and take things easy, but I made a
promise to Terry Scott when he was here, and I don't like to let
people down. So, I've managed to get his debut film ready! The
KTMP Club got their offers last night, and you can buy your own
copy from Friday. See...if you signed up, your new film would be
on it's way now!
So what are you waiting for? Drop me a line at:
sales@ktmp.co.uk and get
your name on the list.
Before I go, I'd like to take the opportunity to
wish you all a really great Christmas and New Year. I'll enjoy
mine with my family and I'll be a little more grateful for the
fact that I'm still here to indulge.
All together now...Jingle bells...Jingle
bells.....you know the rest.
Ta Ta!

4th September 2011
Hello, I'm sorry it's been so long since I
have managed to post the news. I've been incredibly busy and am
now wondering where the year has gone already!
We've just had confirmation that the next Eli
Avisera course will take
place at Hunters Lodge on 5-9th March 2012 and will follow a
full one-day demonstration on Sunday 4th March 2012 Click here
for details.
So what's been happening?
This Friday we will release Jean François Escoulen's
next film: French Collection Volume 2; An Introduction to The
Mk3 Escoulen Eccentric Chuck. Details are available on the
Publications page.
Bob Neill's debut film on Pyrography Volume 1 is
ready for release and will be coming to you very soon.
Nick Arnull's edit for his new film is now with
me and will be completed pretty soon, so we'll be looking at
releasing over the next month or so.
If I saw you at Loughborough for the AWGB Seminar you'll know
that there's a lot of new work in the pipeline: We have signed
Hans Weissflog from Germany to film his amazing creations.
Another great signing is John Wessels of South
Africa with his beautiful pewter work.
Films on the Edit Bed:
Bob Chapman - Bowls Volume 2
Nick Arnull - Ying & Yang
Guy Ravine - Natural English Bowls
Ron Fox - Woodrat Introduction
Andy Lodge - Volume 5 Piercing
Terry Scott - Manta Ray Bowl
Terry Scott - Midas Bowl
Terry Scott - Goldfinger
So, a fair bit to keep me out of mischief for a while.
On a more personal note:
I will start my return to college this week to study the Higher National
Certificate in Electronics for two years followed by another year for my Higher
National Diploma. So, busy, busy...as ever!
Keep enjoying the films and I'll be back when I have more news
for you.
Take care.
3rd May 2011 Just a few moments to give you an
update:
Nick Arnull's second film Ying & Yang has
completed initial edit and is with him for approval.
We are hoping to release at the Springfields Show at Spalding in
June.
Also, I've completed the edits for Jean François
Escoulen's first two films with us.
The first is a long & Thin title with Jean François turning a 1m
trembleur and an example of copy turning in classic style.
The whole film is designed to give an introduction to the
favourite French turning tool: The Bedan.
Releasing as soon as Jean François gives his thumbs-up, I think
you're going to enjoy this one.
The second film in this series gives a
much-awaited introduction to the Escoulen Mk3 Eccentric Chuck
from Vicmarc.
This one is packed with wonderful projects and is sure to be a
hit when it is released in August.
Next events here at The Lodge:
Dick Veitch and Terry Scott visit in
July-August to film and demonstrate prior to heading the bill on this year's
Norwegian Cruise. Tickets are now on sale.
Mick Hanbury returns for a three day course
on 5th-7th August. This was booked-up pretty quickly with just one place now
remaining.
Ron Fox will shoot here this month closely
followed by Guy Ravine.
So, busy, busy, busy as usual. I hope to see you
at one of the upcoming shows, if you're at Daventry this weekend or at the AWGB
Seminar at Loughborough in August, come and have a chat!
That's all for now, take care.
19th February 2011 Hello Everybody,
So, have you been wondering where I've been hiding?
Believe me, I've been a very busy bunny for the last few months! So what have I
been up to?
With a lot more time on my hands after December,
I got knuckled down to preparing for the shows that KTMP has been invited to for
2011. We now have a very professional looking set-up to take onto the road now,
the first show that we will attend will be the Daventry Tudor Rose show in May
followed by the AWGB Seminar at Loughborough in August. I hope to see you at one
of these venues.
Simon Hope's new film: Hope For Us All - Volume
two releases on 25th February and is a super follow-up to his first film.
Details for the new film are available on his page.
I'm now working to finish Nick Arnull's new film:
Ying & Yang. This will be a massive film with some of the best artistic work
I've seen. We hope to be ready to release for the Springfield Show in Spalding
this year.
Jean-Francois Escoulen visited the Lodge in
January. Working through a few VERY cold days in the studio (we had to keep
taking breaks to warm the place up), we managed to record two excellent films.
The first will be detailing very high quality spindle work including
Jean-Francoise's trademark piece: The Trembleur.
The second film details the new Escoulen Mk3 chuck and some of the projects
produced on it are truly mind-boggling!
On Sunday 30th, we opened the doors to Jean-Francois' all-day demonstration.
Starting with a great slideshow of his work, Jean-Francois then went on to wow
the audience with his skills. Click here for pictures by

In two weeks, we will enjoy Eli Avisera's return
visit to his UK home.
During Eli's stay, we plan to produce several films demonstrating the use of his
jig. There will be no club appearances due to filming taking place during the
evenings. Eli will demonstrate for a full day on 6th March, followed by a five
day course in the school. We have two places remaining for the course, so if you
wish to attend; get in touch NOW!
That's about all for now, I'll return as soon as
I can scrape the time together to sit and write something cohesive and
interesting!
